We call them "small" ferns because the original Ferns designs was on a considerably larger scale. This is one of the classic archival prints from G P & J Baker - it's about a century old and was based on botanical drawings in Flora Londinensis, a compendium of flora within a ten mile radius of London in the late 18th century. Please note the two coloured taping, picking out colours from the pattern.
